*Position Summary:* Galaxy Freightline Inc. is seeking a highly experienced and driven Warehouse Manager to lead operations at our Mississauga termina. This role is critical to the success of daily operations, requiring strong leadership to manage high-volume freight movement, optimize processes, and ensure seamless coordination between warehouse, dispatch, and transportation teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle operational pressure while maintaining efficiency and accuracy. *Key Responsibilities:* * Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, storage, cross-docking, and dispatch. * Lead and manage a larger warehouse team, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and training. * Ensure efficient handling of high-volume LTL and FTL freight with focus on accuracy and turnaround time. * Coordinate closely with dispatch, operations, and management to align warehouse activity with daily trip planning. * Monitor workflow and dock activity to minimize delays and maximize throughput. * Maintain strict compliance with Ontario safety regulations and company policies. * Enforce health & safety procedures, security protocols, and operational standards. * Drive continuous process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational bottlenecks. * Oversee equipment usage, maintenance, and facility organization. * Prepare operational reports and provide updates to management as required. *Qualifications:* * 5?10 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role (preferably in high-volume freight or logistics environments). * Strong understanding of cross-docking, freight flow management, and load planning. * Proven ability to manage large teams and handle high-pressure operational demands. * Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. * Familiarity with safety regulations (e.g., WHMIS, TDG, forklift safety). * Experience with WMS/TMS systems and strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace). * Valid driver?s license; Forklift license/certification is required. *Preferred Attributes:* * Highly organized with strong attention to detail. * Ability to make quick decisions in time-sensitive situations. * Experience in managing operations at a high-volume or central distribution hub is a strong asset. *Perks:* * Competitive salary based on experience * Growth opportunities within a fast-growing transportation company * Supportive team and collaborative work environment * Safety-focused and well-maintained facility Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year Benefits: * Disability insurance * On-site parking * Paid time off Ability to commute/relocate: * Mississauga, ON L4T 3M6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Education: * Secondary School (required) Experience: * Warehouse distribution: 5 years (required) * Supervising: 3 years (required) Licence/Certification: * Forklift Licence (required) Work Location: In person
