* * Identifying and preventing discrepancies and helping set up control systems. * Solid knowledge of accounting principles. * Organized with a great eye for detail. * Reliable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively. * Contribute to keep the accounting and financial processes of the company up to standard and ensure accurate financial reporting and control. * Review the company?s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances. * Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices. * Monitor staff * Support most aspects of accounting management Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing * Problem-solving Skills * Proven experience as assistant controller or other similar position * Ability to prioritize * Very good communication and interpersonal skills Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance * Vision care Education: * Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Experience: * Accounting and / or Internal Control: 5 years (preferred) Work Location: In person- Location Edmonton, AB
