Duration: 8 Weeks Job Term: Full Time, Summer ContractResponsibilities:Assist the Programs Coordinator in planning and preparation for Summer Camps, which may include purchasing resources, preparing materials, and decorating the space.Ensures the execution of Summer Day Camps, which includes setting up before and cleaning up after each dayProvide leadership to volunteers, counsellors and campersEnsure the safety and care of all campers while at ICC and on camps field tripsLead games, crafts, and other activities for large and small groups of campersTakes on responsibility for the entire camp ensuring the satisfaction from parents, campers, camp staff and volunteersWill need to complete admin and logistical duties in order for the succession of campOther duties as assignedKey Qualities:Possess an authentic walk the talk attitudeOutgoing and relationalDemonstrate an ability to maintain harmonious relationships (including conflict resolution skills) with masjid members, staff, volunteers, and families.Able to accept instruction and carry out duties efficiently and joyfully.Works well on teams, both as a leader and as a group memberHas a heart for working with children and families of varied social, economic, ethnic, and spiritual backgroundsQualifications and Skills:Applicants must be between the ages of 15 to 30 years (inclusive)Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, for the duration of the employment Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.?Understanding of Islamic etiquetteStrong interpersonal and communication skillsTime management skills and deadline-orientedAbility to respond to members? requests with patience and enthusiasm; understand the needs of members and escalate issues when appropriateWork with little supervision or assistance, work within a team and independentlyStrong conflict management skillsMust have access to a reliable personal laptop for administrative and internship-related responsibilities- Location Mississauga, ON
