<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fitter/Welder with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in fabrication and welding. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint reading skills, a deep understanding of welding processes, and hold valid Welding certifications (CWB/CWE). This role requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols with precision</li><li>Fit, align, and assemble metal components for welding and fabrication</li><li>Perform high-quality welding using processes such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding</li><li>Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, cutting torches, press brakes, and saws</li><li>Ensure all welds meet CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) standards and specifications</li><li>Conduct visual inspections and quality checks of completed welds and assemblies</li><li>Maintain accurate measurements and ensure tolerances are met</li><li>Troubleshoot fabrication issues and recommend effective solutions</li><li>Follow all health and safety regulations in accordance with Ontario workplace standards</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment</li><li>Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and engineers to meet production goals</li><li>Perform routine maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications & Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 5 years of experience as a fitter/welder in a manufacturing or fabrication setting</li><li>Valid CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) certification required</li><li>CWE (Certified Welding Examiner) certification considered a strong asset</li><li>Strong proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols</li><li>Experience working with structural steel, stainless steel, and aluminum</li><li>Familiarity with CSA welding standards and Canadian codes</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to use precision measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, squares, etc.)</li><li>Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship</li><li>Strong communication and teamwork skills</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in a custom fabrication or manufacturing environment</li><li>Forklift or overhead crane certification (asset)</li><li>Knowledge of metal finishing and assembly processes</li><li>Ability to work overtime when required</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation & Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive hourly wage based on experience</li><li>Opportunities for overtime</li><li>Health and dental benefits (if applicable)</li><li>Career growth and advancement opportunities</li><li>Supportive and team-oriented work environment</li></ul><p><strong>Why Join Cassell Manufacturing?</strong></p><p>At Cassell Manufacturing, we value skilled tradespeople who take pride in their work.
