Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Prepare engineering designs and drawings. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Train new drafting personnel. Develop and prepare design sketches. Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates. Complete documentation packages and drawing sets. Examine drawings for conformity and errors. Consult with client, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements. Operate CADD and other computer software systems. Computer and technology knowledge: Computer-aided design (CAD). SketchUp. AutoCAD. MS Office. Specialization or experience: 3D Modeling.
