The Registered Nurse is responsible for maintaining professional and organizational standards and practice in accordance with the LG Model of Nursing Clinical Practice and reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.Qualifications:Graduation from an approved/recognized school of nursing program is required;Current and continuing practicing licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL) is required;Breastfeeding education/course;Successful completion of NRP, ACLS, TNCC and Medevac courses are considered an asset;Current certification in Basic Life Support (CPR);The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check;Duties: (Included but not limited to)Organizing, planning, implementing and evaluating the plan of care for assigned clients including but not limited to: medical-surgical, obstetrics (pre-natal, labour and delivery, post-partum), special care, mental health/addictions and pediatrics;Participates in the auditing process as required;Documents as per professional and organizational standards;Administers medication and participates in Medication Reconciliation;Participates in the orientation, mentorship and preceptoring of staff;Represents nursing on various committees as required;Participates in quality assurance initiatives as requested/required;Practices independently according to professional and organizational standards;Acts as a liaison between the client and other healthcare providers;Performs other related duties as assigned;?If this is an internal posting only, only applicants of the Labrador Grenfell Zone RNUNL Regional Bargaining Unit will be considered.
