*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled level II Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, proficiency in Abeldent software, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. *Responsibilities* * Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. * Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after use. * Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. * Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic. * Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. * Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. * Handle administrative tasks, including billing and insurance verification. * Support pediatric patients with care tailored to their needs, fostering a comfortable environment. * Assist in orthodontic procedures when required. *Requirements* * certification in level 2 dental assisting is preferred. * Proficiency in Abeldent dental software applications is highly desirable. * Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry. * Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is a plus. * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. * Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. * Previous experience as a dental receptionist is beneficial.
