In this role, you will utilize your accounting knowledge and technical expertise to help clients improve how their financial operations are structured, maintained and scaled. You are a detail-oriented, curious individual who can quickly learn and work with minimal supervision. *Your Scope:* * Advise clients on accounting system integration, optimization and best practices (e.g. QuickBooks, NetSuite) * Communicate and translate accounting concepts and technical information into clear, practical guidance for clients * Review client prepared financial data and provide insights to improve accuracy, consistency, and efficiency * Support income tax and GST reporting, if assigned * Aid in full cycle payroll and tasks designated by the payroll manager, as needed * Contribute to ad hoc financial analysis and modeling, as required * Utilize outstanding verbal and written communication skills to provide regular updates to the Accounting Supervisor, as needed * Assist with statutory audits, SOC2, business resumption, and addressing internal control weaknesses, as required *Your Qualifications:* * Some background in Accounting or Finance, including demonstrated knowledge of ASPE/IFRS requirements and practices, is preferred * Ongoing or completed accounting degree or diploma (or equivalent experience) * Intermediate Microsoft Excel training, able to develop models, scenarios, forecasts, and dashboards * Technical expertise and familiarity with accounting software * Excellent verbal and written communication abilities * Exceptional time management and organizational skills, capable of multitasking various tasks, projects, and strategic improvement initiatives * Detail-oriented, proactive, and embodying our core values *Your Perks:* * A total rewards package, including above market salary and annual bonuses * Four weeks? vacation (starting base) * Ten personal days * 100% employer match on medical and dental benefits * Health spending account * On-site fitness center * Tuition reimbursement and professional development * A flexible and remote working model * A unique opportunity to build, grow, and leave your impact on a local firm *First Nations Acknowledgment* As this role is based in Edmonton, Alberta, KRP wishes to recognize that we are on the traditional lands known as Treaty 6 Territory, and that the City of Edmonton and all its inhabitants are beneficiaries of this peace and friendship treaty.
