<p>Our client, a law firm, is currently looking for an<span> </span><strong>Accounting Technician</strong><span> </span>to join their team. Permanent position.<br><br><strong>Advantages</strong></p><ul><li>3?4 weeks of vacation, depending on experience ;</li><li>8 personal days ;</li><li>Group insurance (50% coverage) ;</li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP) ;</li><li>Telemedicine services.</li></ul><strong>Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Manage trust accounting, including deposits, transfers, disbursements, and reconciliations ;</li><li>Ensure compliance and maintain accurate trust records in accordance with Law Society regulations ;</li><li>Participate in billing, accounts receivable tracking, and collections ;</li><li>Prepare financial reports and support month-end and year-end closing processes ;</li><li>Record journal entries, reconciliations, and necessary adjustments ;</li><li>Collaborate with lawyers, assistants, and other departments to resolve discrepancies and support operations ;</li><li>Contribute to process improvements, automation, and optimization of accounting systems ;</li><li>Provide administrative and accounting support as needed to ensure continuity of operations.</li></ul> <br> <strong>Requirements</strong><ul><li>2 years of experience in accounting within a professional services environment (asset) ;</li><li>DEC in Accounting or a related field ;</li><li>Knowledge of trust account management (asset) ;</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) ;</li><li>Bilingualism required to communicate with English-speaking suppliers (20%) </li><li>Strong ability to interact with clients and team members ;</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or as part of a team ;</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills ;</li><li>Ability to work effectively under pressure.</li></ul>- Location Montréal, QC
