*Job Summary:* We are seeking a professional and skilled Steel fabcricator specializing in guardrails, handrails, stairs, and miscellaneous steel work to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and installation of handrails and guardrails for various residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role requires an eye for detail, hands-on experience with welding and metalworking of a minimum of 5 years or more, and the ability to follow detailed specifications to ensure the highest quality and safety standards. *Key Responsibilities:* _Fabrication :_ * Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine project specifications. * Cut, bend, shape, and weld metal components to fabricate custom handrails, guardrails, and related metal structures. * Prepare and assemble components using various tools and machinery such as saws, drills, grinders, welding machines, and press break machines for metal bending. _Welding and Metalworking:_ * Utilize welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) to assemble handrails and guardrails. * Ensure the quality of welds meets industry standards and specifications. * Perform metal finishing tasks, such as grinding and polishing, to achieve a clean and professional finish. _Installation :_ * Assist with the installation of fabricated products on-site, ensuring proper fitting, alignment, and secure installation. * Work closely with project managers and construction teams to ensure timely completion and adherence to project timelines. * Conduct on-site measurements and adjustments as needed. _Safety and Quality Assurance:_ * Adhere to all safety standards, including the proper handling of tools and materials. * Ensure that all fabricated products meet structural integrity and compliance with relevant building codes (OBC) and regulations. * Conduct inspections of completed work for accuracy, durability, and quality. * Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times. * Perform maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functionality. _Maintenance and Repairs:_ * Assist with the maintenance, repair, and replacement of damaged or aging handrails and guardrails. *Skills :* * Familiarity with operating a forklift and using calipers for measurements is an asset. * Has a valid Driver's license * Very punctual, willing to work on weekends * Pass the security check * Knowledge and experience in Steel Structure fabrication is an asset *Qualifications:* * High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications or training in welding, metalworking, or fabrication are a plus. * Proven experience in handrail and guardrail fabrication, welding, or metalworking (minimum 5 years or more preferred). * Proficient in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) and the use of fabrication tools and machinery. * Strong understanding of safety standards and building codes (OBC). * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. * Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. * Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. * Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment as required. *Physical Requirements:* * Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and lift heavy objects for extended periods of time. * Ability to work in various environments, including outdoor or construction sites. * Ability to lift heavy weights up to 75 lb. * Comfortable with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety goggles, gloves, and steel-toed boots. * Ability to rig components for lifting and positioning Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour Experience: * Metal fabrication: 4 years (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Class G Licence (preferred) Work Location: In person
