*Overview* We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role offers an opportunity to work with diverse financial software and contribute to the organization?s financial health. Prior experience with various accounting platforms and a strong understanding of GAAP principles are essential for success in this position. *Duties* * Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliation * Maintain general ledger accounts and perform balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy * Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately * Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements * Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are properly recorded using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken * Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings * Support budgeting processes and provide account analysis as needed * Ensure compliance with GAAP and governmental accounting standards where applicable * Perform double-entry bookkeeping to maintain accurate financial records * Handle account analysis, journal entries, and account reconciliation tasks regularly * Contribute to financial report writing for internal review or external audits *Requirements* * Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms * Strong knowledge of GAAP, corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, and governmental accounting principles * Familiarity with financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation * Minimum 2-3 years of experience with bank reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable management, payroll processing, and tax experience * Ability to perform detailed account analysis and prepare accurate financial reports * Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently * Proficiency in 10 key typing for data entry accuracy * Strong understanding of budgeting processes and financial statement preparation * Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in all financial documentation This position is integral to maintaining the integrity of our financial operations.
