We are looking for a leader to manage our front-of-house operations and act as the vital link between our expert technicians and our loyal customers.</p><p> </p><p><strong><strong>The Role</strong></strong></p><p>As the Service Writer/Manager, you are the face of Seven Oaks Transmissions. You aren't just selling "repairs"; you are providing peace of mind for customers facing complex vehicle issues. You will manage the workflow of the shop, provide accurate estimates for transmission repairs, general vehicle repairs and ensure our reputation for quality remains unmatched.</p><p><strong><strong>Core Responsibilities</strong></strong></p><ul><li><strong><strong>Customer Consultation:</strong></strong> Greet customers, listen to and document vehicle symptoms or complaints, and explain the diagnostic process to determine the nature of the automotive repairs in easy-to-understand terms.</li><li><strong><strong>Estimating & Sales:</strong></strong> Develop accurate repair estimates for parts and labor. Proactively communicate with customers regarding diagnostic findings, costs, and timelines.</li><li><strong><strong>Workflow Management:</strong></strong> Coordinate with our team of technicians to schedule jobs, track progress, and ensure vehicles are returned to customers on time.</li><li><strong><strong>Inventory & Parts:</strong></strong> Source and order specialized automotive parts and kits from our network of vendors and maintain inventory.</li><li><strong><strong>Quality Control:</strong></strong> Review completed Repair Orders (ROs) for accuracy and ensure every customer leaves with a clear understanding of their warranty (including our industry-leading automotive guarantees).</li><li><strong><strong>Shop Leadership:</strong></strong> Maintain a clean, professional front office and assist the owners in day-to-day operational decisions to drive shop efficiency.</li></ul><p><strong><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></strong></p><ul><li><strong><strong>Experience:</strong></strong> 5+ years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or Manager. Specific knowledge of automotive drivetrains is a significant asset.</li><li>Must have experience utilizing Mitchell on Demand.</li><li><strong><strong>Communication:</strong></strong> Exceptional verbal and written skills. You must be comfortable explaining the difference between a minor adjustment and a major repair.</li><li><strong><strong>Tech-Savvy:</strong></strong> Proficiency with shop management software ( Mitchell1, or similar) and general computer skills.</li><li><strong><strong>Integrity:</strong></strong> A commitment to the "Seven Oaks" way-honest diagnostics and fair pricing.
