My client, a growing organization in the <strong>food processing</strong> sector, is actively seeking a driven and seasoned <strong>Senior Accountant</strong> to bolster its finance team. This pivotal <strong>hands-on role</strong> is designed for a financial professional who thrives in dynamic environments and excels at meticulously managing and <strong>supporting all facets of financial operations</strong>.<br><br>The chosen candidate will be responsible for the company's accounting functions, encompassing the generation of regulatory and financial reports, alongside the upkeep of a robust accounting records system. The position demands strong <strong>inter-departmental collaboration</strong> to optimize financial processes and elevate reporting accuracy.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><ul>	<li>Oversee daily accounting operations: Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory, and Revenue Recognition.	<li>Execute month-end/year-end reconciliations, accruals, and performance reporting.	<li>Generate timely monthly financials (cashflow), budget vs. actual, and KPI reports.	<li>Ensure accurate integration of retail and e-commerce transactions into accounting software.	<li>Process supplier invoices via QuickBooks and manage weekly cheque runs 	<li>Collaborate with plant management on process optimization, cost reduction, and profitability enhancement.	<li>Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.	<li>Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure transaction accuracy.	<li>Manage regulatory reporting and sales tax compliance.	<li>Develop and document accounting policies and business processes to strengthen controls.	<li>Assist senior management in tracking objectives and performance metrics.	<li>Provide financial analysis for capital investments, projects, and business decisions.</ul><br><strong>Qualifications:</strong><ul>	<li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is mandatory.	<li>CPA designation or an equivalent professional certification is preferred.	<li>A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.	<li>Candidates with cost accounting experience will be given preference.	<li>Demonstrated expertise in accounting principles and procedures.	<li>Exceptional analytical, problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail.</ul><br>This posting represents an immediate opening within our client's organization.
