As a Resident Attendant, you?ll form a deep understanding of your residents and their living experience. You will build relationships with the residents and their family members, offering a variety of support options and program choices that enrich their daily health and well-being. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.</p> <p><b>What makes you a great fit?</b></p> <p>? Answers all resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provides courteous service</p><p>? Completes all aspects of resident care as outlined in the plan of care and care assignments</p><p>? Transports residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office and dining room as required</p><p>? Completes laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments</p><p>? Deals tactfully and courteously with residents, residents' families and reports any concerns / complaints to the team leader</p><p>? Practices safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and service</p><p>? Performing other duties as assigned</p> <p><b>What you need to know:</b></p> <p>? Minimum of six months of experience in a similar role</p><p>? Current First Aid/CPR training</p><p>? Excellent command of the verbal and written English language skills</p><p>? Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team</p><p>? Certification in Personal Support Worker or Personal Care Worker, or a 16 hour course that covers the provision of personal care and that is recognized by the department. If you don't have this, you must be willing to complete this course within 3 months of start date. (for SK homes)</p><p>? Personal Support Worker Certificate is preferred</p><p>? You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit</p><p>? You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check</p><p>?
