This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment and is looking to broaden their experience across multiple areas of accounting and finance. In this position, you will play a key role in <strong>month-end and year-end activities, intercompany reconciliations</strong>, global payroll accounting, and financial reporting. You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments and international entities while contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency.<br><br>The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with large volumes of financial data in a multi-currency environment. This opportunity offers strong exposure to various accounting functions while working alongside a supportive and experienced team.<br><br><strong>Why this role?</strong><ul>	<li>Competitive compensation package 	<li>Excellent vacation and Benefits package	<li>Defined contribution pension plan with company matching	<li>Comprehensive benefits package effective from day one	<li>CPA support and professional development opportunities	<li>Hybrid work structure ( 3 days in office, 2 days WFH)	<li>Exposure to multiple areas of accounting and finance within a global organisation</ul><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><ul>	<li>Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.	<li><strong>Manage intercompany reconciliations and elimination processes</strong> across multiple global entities.	<li>Oversee <strong>payroll-related accounting activities</strong> and investigate transactional discrepancies across international operations.	<li>Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations while ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.	<li>Process and <strong>analyze transactions in multiple currencies</strong> including USD, CAD, EUR, GBP, and RMB.	<li>Partner with finance and operational teams to support reporting, analysis, and ongoing accounting initiatives.	<li>Identify opportunities to streamline accounting procedures and improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.	<li>Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.</ul><br><strong>Qualifications:</strong><ul>	<li><strong>CPA designation completed</strong> or in progress	<li>5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a complex corporate or manufacturing environment	<li>Strong experience with month-end close and <strong>intercompany accounting</strong>	<li><strong>Experience working with multi-currency transactions</strong>	<li>Exposure to JD Edwards or similar ERP systems is considered an asset	<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach</ul><br>To be eligible for this role, you must be legally eligible to work in Canada.<br>Please note that we use AI tools as part of our recruitment process to enhance efficiency and improve candidate experience.<br><br>#ACC1<br><br><br><br> - Location Kitchener, ON
