Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Inspect trunking systems . Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Test equipment to locate transmission faults. Install trunking systems, circuits and equipment. Instruct apprentices. Complete and maintain test and service reports. Determine nature, cause and location of trouble. Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures. Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access. Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers.
