Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Building construction materials. Tasks: Address customers' complaints or concerns. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Forklift Operator Certification. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Flatbed. Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles). Transportation/travel experience: Local. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle. Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads.
