Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Administer evaluative tests. Administer tests using equipment, instruct patients on test procedures and record results, and monitor, check and calibrate auditory equipment. Assess patients' physical abilities. Assist health care professionals. Assist physicians in the assessment of patients. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Examine the patient. Follow through on treatment programs with patients. Help medical examiner in charge. Maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products. Set up and dismantle equipment. Supervise technical and support staff. Administer evaluative tests and procedures. Apply and adjust casts, splints and bandages. Clean and maintain equipment. Reassemble equipment and assemble packs of sterile supplies and instruments for delivery to hospital departments. Record vital signs. Clean and dress wounds. Prepare solutions for preservation of specimens. Confer with other health professionals. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients. Order supplies and equipment. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
