Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Level earth to fine grade specifications. Perform routine maintenance work. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Experience: 5 years or more. Employment terms options: To be determined. Green job: Involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes. Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth.
