Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Tasks: Compute dimensions, sizes, shapes and tolerances of workpieces . Set up machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders. Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Program CNC machine tools. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Tool and Die Maker Trade Certification. Tool and die fabrication experience: Metal cutting, forming or bending dies. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Personal suitability: Accurate. Organized. Team player.
