Education: Bachelor's degree. or equivalent experience. Asset languages: Hindi. Panjabi; Punjabi. Tasks: Administer evaluative tests. Administer tests using equipment, instruct patients on test procedures and record results, and monitor, check and calibrate auditory equipment. Assess patients' physical abilities. Assist health care professionals. Assist physicians in the assessment of patients. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Develop information materials for patients. Examine the patient. Follow through on treatment programs with patients. Help orthopedic surgeons. Help physical therapists. Maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products. Maintain prescription records . Operate ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments. Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine. Record test results and medications given by ophthalmologists. Set up and dismantle equipment. Supervise technical and support staff. Administer evaluative tests and procedures. Clean and maintain equipment. Lay out surgical instruments. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Reassemble equipment and assemble packs of sterile supplies and instruments for delivery to hospital departments. Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use according to standardized safety practices. Plan physiotherapy programs. Select appropriate exercises, apparatus and manipulations. Maintain clinical and progress reports. Confer with other health professionals. Assist chiropractor with physical examinations. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Schedule and confirm appointments. Order supplies and equipment. Area of specialization: Physiotherapy.
