This position is a full time permanent, onsite position. Primary ResponsibilitiesRent CollectionPost rent payments made in person or electronically to resident?s account ledgerSpeak with residents about rental arrearsPrepare and have reminders regarding arrears deliveredCorrespond with Managers of Resident Experience (MREs) as requiredCorrespond with Social service agencies as requiredLegal Process Process Tribunal FormsAttend Tribunal hearingsFile documents with the Landlord and Tenant BoardCompliance of Lease Agreement Ensure residents are following guidelines outlined in the tenancy agreementCollaborate with MREs, Property Administrators and Community ManagerDraft compliance letters Resident RelationsAttend to resident issues and disputes as they arise Update property management software with resident information in notes, documents and ledger AdministrationMaintain paper and electronic filesMaintain notes for Resident accounts on PropertywareOther duties as assigned Skills and Qualifications1+ years of experience working in collections or property management is an assetParalegal license is requiredKnowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and Landlord Tenant BoardPublic speaking skills and experienceComputer proficiency and the ability to learn property management softwareVerbal and written communication skills and the ability to produce accurate documentationAbility to remain calm in stressful situations and to maintain a high level of confidentialityYork Property Management (YPM) manages 4,000+ residential apartment suites in Southwestern Ontario.
