Here is an overview of the tasks for this position :Design, review, and analyze the performance and requirements of short-range marine aids to navigation systems. Research, collect, and analyze data related to waterway characteristics, user information and environmental factors. Evaluate navigational risks and their potential impact on mariner safety and the marine environment. Study, analyze, and recommend solutions or risk mitigation measures regarding aids to navigation system design performance and navigational hazards; provide recommendations to management in accordance with national directives and international standards.The candidate may be required to participate in the coordination of seasonal buoy tending activity programs and occasionally travel to assess the effectiveness, performance, and relevance of one or more aids to navigation systems. Work in collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders such as the CCG Regional Operations Centre (ROC)/Fle- Location Various locationsParry Sound, , ONPrescott, , ONQuébec, , QC
