FIELD TECHNICIANGEMTEC is a growing firm with offices throughout Ontario and Atlantic Canada, and we are looking for motivated and skilled Field Technicians to join our Team. Educational & Experience Requirements:The Successful candidate will have the following:Currently enrolled or recently completed a College Diploma in civil technology or an equivalent program is considered an asset. Experience with materials testing and inspection is an asset. Experience working in civil construction is considered an asset. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written. Main Duties:The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:Laboratory testing of aggregates, soil and concrete. Field testing and sampling of aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt. Compaction testing of subgrade soils, aggregates and asphalt. Subgrade and foundation inspections. Supervising a drill rig.Various office, laboratory, and field tasks related to materials testing. Other duties as required.Position:Part-time/Full-time positions starting March/April 2026Graduate Contract positions April ? December 2026 Summer/ Co-op positions starting April 2026 Must have a valid driver's license and access to personal vehicle.Pay Range: $21-$25 CAD per hourIn alignment with Ontario's Employment Standards Act and pay?transparency requirements, GEMTEC includes the expected compensation range in publicly advertised job postings for roles based in Ontario. This range reflects what GEMTEC reasonably anticipates paying for this position.
