If you're looking for stability, career progression, and a fresh start in a city with opportunity, Calgary is a great place to build your future.What's In It For YouCompetitive Journeyperson hourly rate at $44.25 per hourExtensive benefit planInclusive and engaging work environmentRRSP contributionsFun company events and barbequesRoles and Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systemsInstall, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systemsLocate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floorsCut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittingsMeasure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machinesSelect the type and size of pipe required and measure, cut, thread, bend, clamp, solvent cement or solder pipeAssemble and install valves and fittingsJoin pipe sections and secure them in positionTest pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gaugesInstall sinks, tubs and toiletsInstall underground storm sanitary and water piping systemsMay provide information to supervisors for preparation of cost estimatesFollow all company policies and procedures including Trotter & Morton's Health and Safety programRequired to complete Field Level Hazard Assessments regularly and ensure apprentices are also completely correctlyResponsible for reporting any unsafe work practices to SupervisorResponsible for mentoring and training apprenticesPerform other duties as assignedRequired SkillsAbility to show up to work on time everydayStrong work ethic and positive team attitudeMeet the physical demands of the job for lifting, standing, kneeling, etc.Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracyAbility to take orders and follow instructionsAbility to prioritize workloads and utilize planning & time management skills to adhere to strict deadlinesAbility to work alone or as part of a work crewAbility to complete work and meet deadlines with little supervisionBlueprint readingKnowledge of current Plumbing CodeSuperior knowledge of applicable hand tools & power tools and scissor liftsPlumbing installation, maintenance, and repair skills.Ability to lead others in troubleshooting and emergency repairs.Ability to develop and implement planned maintenance programs.Ability to read, understand, and follows safety proceduresRequired ExperienceMust possess a valid Journeym- Location St. John's, NL
