Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Operate heavy equipment. Measure distance, volume, length and weight. Operate computer controlled equipment. Understand the purpose, proper usgage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS). Complete onboard and other logs. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment. Secure special attachments to equipment. Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment. Perform minor repairs to equipment. Type of heavy equipment operated: Loader. Operate forklift. Front end loader. Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Experience: Experience an asset. Support for persons with disabilities: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities. Support for youths: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
