*Summary* The Head Chef position at the National Training Academy is a highly collaborative role overseeing all kitchen operations for our client. This role requires a dynamic leader who enjoys coaching and developing their team, interacting with recruits, creating seasonal and weekly menus, and delivering an exceptional dining experience in partnership with the Food Service Director. The Executive Chef will serve as the primary culinary point of contact for the client and ensure all service standards, safety requirements, and client expectations are met and exceeded. *Key Responsibilities and Job Duties* * Hands-on leadership and management of all kitchen and culinary operations, including production, inventory, purchasing, food safety and quality control. * Actively participate in preparing and serving meals, including serving recruits from the line during meal periods. * Supervise, train, and mentor all kitchen staff with a strong focus on teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement. * Collaborate closely with the Food Services Director to plan and deliver services aligned with client needs and operational goals. * Develop, adapt, Implement, and execute menus based on client standards that reflect client preferences and dietary requirements. * Maintain a strong, professional working relationship with the client and participate in regular check-ins or meetings to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction. * Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. * Support client with monitoring food and labor costs, ensuring adherence to established budgets. * Support and promote an inclusive and positive workplace culture. * Lead by example and foster a coaching-driven environment that promotes growth and development within the culinary team. *Qualifications* * Red Seal Certification strongly preferred; Exceptional relevant experience will be considered in lieu of red seal certification. * Experience working in a high-volume kitchen. * Experience with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Services. * Proven experience in cost and labour control. * Proven leadership skills and training. * Experience with inventory control and order management. * Fluently Bilingual in English and French. * This position requires the chef to be hands-on in a fast-paced environment. *Job-Type, Pay and Benefits* * Full-time, permanent * 40 -50 hours per week * Extended Health Care (Prescription, Paramedical, Vision Care, Dental, Medical Equipment & Supplies) * Long-term Disability * On-site parking * Hourly wage ?
