*Job Summary* We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair and maintenance, with a strong background in working with various types of machinery and equipment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Candidates with dealership and automotive repair experience and familiarity with heavy equipment are highly preferred. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical expertise and customer service skills are valued. *Duties* * Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and machinery, including cars, trucks, farm equipment, and industrial machinery * Use hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately * Conduct maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, engine diagnostics, electrical system troubleshooting, and system upgrades * Repair or replace components on HVAC systems, welding projects, or other specialized mechanical systems * Assist in the assembly and disassembly of mechanical parts for repairs or upgrades * Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures and ensure work areas are clean and organized * Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle or machine *Skills* * Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive systems and repairs * Experience working with heavy equipment including diesel engines, forklifts, and farm machinery is not required but considered an asset * Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, HVAC systems, welding techniques, and industrial equipment maintenance * Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently; familiarity with hand tools is essential * Mechanical knowledge related to engine diagnostics, transmission repair, suspension systems, and electrical troubleshooting * Capable of performing heavy lifting safely; physically fit to handle demanding tasks in a workshop environment * Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for accurate diagnostics * Strong customer service skills for communicating repair needs effectively to clients or team members * Ability to read technical schematics and manuals for complex machinery repair or assembly tasks This position requires a versatile mechanic with a broad skill set capable of handling various repair scenarios across automotive and industrial equipment.
