As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care that supports residents? health, safety, and overall well-being. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.What makes you a great fit? <li>Maintain accountability for the nursing and personal care of residents within the scope of training and licensure</li><li>Assume responsibility for notifying family / responsible party of any significant change in a resident?s condition</li><li>Maintains resident records and required documentation in accordance with policies and procedures and legislative requirements</li><li>Administers medications as prescribed in accordance with pharmacy policies & procedures and observes changes in condition and reports them to the Director of Wellness</li><li>Seeks direction from the Director of Wellness when resident need exceeds experience or scope of practice</li><li>Exercises sound nursing judgment by reporting any change in resident?s status in a timely manner to the Director of Wellness as necessary, and takes appropriate action</li><li>Monitors the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and ensures narcotic count is correct</li><li>Reports incidents / near misses, illness or problems with residents to the Director of Wellness/ General Manager</li><li>Reports all transfers to hospital or deaths immediately to the Director of Wellness/ General Manager</li><li>Complete and maintain routine or adhoc clinical assessment of residents as assigned by Director of Wellness.</li><li>Assist in care plan development</li><li>Greet all visitors and family members in a positive and supportive manner requesting if they need assistance of any kind</li><li>Promotes and maintains positive communication and relationships among team members</li><li>Demonstrates personal attributes and communication skills that foster customer satisfaction at all times and monitors team member performance in relation to customer service</li><li>Fosters positive interactions with residents, families and visitors</li><li>Facilitates problem solving of resident / family concerns or complaints that arise and ensures complaints are communicated to the Director of Wellness/ General Manager</li><li>Assists with the orientation of new residents to help facilitate a smooth transition to the home</li><li>Adheres to organizations policies, procedures, practices</li><li>Facilitates calm reaction and resolution to problems that arise or emergency situations</li><li>Participates in Quality Improvement activities as assigned by Director of Wellness</li><li>Assume responsibility for replacing team members as required</li><li>Continually asses
