Evergreen Home for Special Care - Senior's CentreCasual job openings for continuing care assistants (NOC 33102)Evergreen Home for Special Care is a privately owned continuous care provider located in the beautiful Annapolis Valley.The facility is comprised of a Children Centre which is licensed to provide 24-hour nursing coverage for 20 children and a Seniors Centre consisting of 98 residents. All residents receive multi-disciplinary care based on a holistic approach to ensure physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing while recognizing the right to individuality, respect, and dignity.The Seniors' Centre provides care to adults and seniors whose physical, mental and intellectual needs are addressed through qualified nursing care, dietary services and recreational programming within a clean and safe environment. The involvement of families, staff and volunteers contributes to the mission of meeting the needs of all residents of Evergreen.Responsibilities:Assisting clients with various personal care activities (e.g., bathing, dressing, grooming).Perform light housekeeping duties.Assist clients with meals and between meal refreshments.Provide respite for families and care givers.Documentation (e.g., reporting client concerns, progress notes, incident reports).Engage residents/families in leisure/recreational programs.Core Requirements:Provincial Continuing Care Assistant CertificationPersons with related education and/or work experience and are enrolled in or are eligible to be enrolled in CCA RPL ProgramStudents in nursing, CCA programs, and international educated nurses will be considered.We hire both CCAs and CCAITs.Certified Continuing Care Assistant means a continuing care assistant who has been certified under the Continuing Care Assistant certification program and has been added to the Registry for Continuing Care Assistants.Continuing Care Assistant in Training means a person employed as a Continuing Care Assistant who is:Completing requirements to become a certified continuing care assistantHired on a conditional basis in accordance with the Educational Requirements for Entry to Practice of Non-Licensed Care Staff Policy.Salary: $19.02 to $24.45 / hourTerms of employment: CasualStart date: As soon as possibleEmployment conditions: Shift workHow to applyBy email: hr@evergreenhome.ns.caBy fax: 902-678-5996By mail: 655 Park St Kentville, NS B4N 3V7Intended job posting audience: Anyone who can legally work in Canada can apply for this job.
