*Job Description* Rideau Supply is a leading supplier of Pumps, Water Treatment Technology, Drilling, Irrigation, Waste Water, and Heating supplies. The Company is comprised of 5 locations in Ontario (Stratford, Barrie, Hastings, Perth and North Bay) and one in Amherst Nova Scotia. We have an exciting opportunity at our _*Stratford Branch*_ for a Warehouse Supervisor_*.*_ The Warehouse Supervisor, under the direction of the Operations Manager, will be responsible to plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the daily operations in the warehouse including supervision of warehouse employees and drivers. *MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Supervise a team of warehouse employees and drivers, including hiring, delegation, training, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, and termination * Ensure that all staff under your direction are equipped with and are using the proper personal protective equipment * Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and delegating work accordingly * Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization * Take into account full implications of freight turnover, size, weight, and other factors when allocating warehouse space * Enforce company policies regarding security and safety in order to maintain a safe working environment * Administer disciplinary action in accordance with established procedures * Ensure that all employees comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards * Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback, coaching, and formal evaluations * Handle customer complaints and comments * Maintain shift schedules to ensure sufficient employee coverage * Translate strategic goals into practical actions * Ensure that employees adhere to all health and safety regulations * Maintain the fleet of vehicles including maintenance and safe operations. * Plan and organize all delivery runs to meet customer expectations and timelines. * Ensure that timesheets are completed and submitted correctly on a bi-weekly basis *MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:* * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent * Degree or diploma in a related field * Three years of experience in a management role and five years of experience in warehouse setting. * Valid Drivers license and reliable means of transportation *PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*: * Knowledge of geographic locations surrounding branch * Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines * A well defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills * Ability to supervise and motivate a team to achieve and exceed their goals * Strong formal and informal leadership skills * Proven experience with people management * Ability to identify measures of performance and actions needed to improve or correct performance * Knowledge of fleet routing and tracking software * Knowledge of MTO regulations and CVOR compliance. * Product knowledge of plumbing ,heating, HVAC and well drilling (an asset) Throughout the selection process please contact Human Resources if required.
