*Benson Oil* (www.bensonoil.ca) has been supplying the Southern Interior with full-service fuel distribution, lubricants, tanks, pumps, and equipment since 1946 from their Trail, BC terminal, as well as retail operations in Grand Forks and bulk sites in Salmo and Nelson. Benson Oil (Benson) is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk who will report to the Office Manager and be responsible for the following: · Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording A/R data · Set-up and maintain new and existing customer files · Process credit applications · Generate and issue monthly invoices, process customer payments, and prepare bank deposits · Maintain A/R files and records · Review all credit balances and refunds, and apply adjustments to billing records · Respond to customer billing inquiries, and research and resolve payment discrepancies · Reconcile customer accounts · Monitor customer account details for payment irregularities and initiate collection calls as required · Prepare tank rental agreements · Provide weekly feedback to management · Produce monthly financial and management reports · Assist with month-end closing, quarterly, and year end audits · Answer phone calls, provide information to callers or connect callers to appropriate team members · Prepare and submit insurance forms to ICBC · Cross train and provide support with daily administrative tasks where required *REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* · 1+ years related AR experience · Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration · General knowledge of accounting, credit practices, and collection regulations · Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records · Proficiency in Microsoft applications including proven intermediate Excel proficiency · Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy · Strong analytical and research skills for reconciliations · Professional written and verbal communication · Solid team player with a high level of honesty and integrity · Able to apply time management skills, prioritize, and meet deadlines · Legally authorized to work in Canada · Willing to work weekends, holidays and after hours as required Job Types: Permanent, Full-time Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour Benefits: * Casual dress * Dental care * Extended health care * RRSP match * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * French not required Experience: * Accounts receivable: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person- Location Trail, BC
