<p>WHO WE ARE Opened in 1914 and welcoming over 1.3 million visitors annually, the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is Canada's most-visited museum, ranking among the top 10 cultural institutions in North America.</p><p>At ROM, we are dedicated to building and sharing global collections, sharing knowledge, inspiring learning, and fostering community engagement.</p><p>As a globally recognized field research institute, ROM houses an impressive collection of over 18 million artworks, cultural objects, and natural history specimens, showcased in over 40 galleries and exhibition spaces.</p><p>We are committed to creating a space where art, culture, and nature intersect, connecting people and communities to the past, present and shared future.</p><p>As we continue to work toward our goals to transform and evolve as one of the world’s foremost 21st-century museums, we seek passionate and dynamic team members who embody our mission and values.</p><p>WHO WE NEED We are seeking a Human Resources Intern to support ROM’s Human Resources team for Summer 2026.</p><p>This full-time, grant-funded contract position, supported by the Ontario Summer Employment Opportunities (SEO) Program, offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of Human Resources at one of Canada’s leading cultural institutions.</p><p>In this role, you will support core HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, onboarding, employee engagement, wellness initiatives, and HR operations.</p><p>Working closely with experienced HR professionals, you will contribute to initiatives that help foster a healthy, inclusive, and engaged workplace while supporting the teams that deliver ROM’s exhibitions, programs, research activities, and visitor experiences.</p><p>This opportunity is ideal for students or emerging HR professionals seeking practical experience in a fast-paced, public-facing organizational environment while developing transferable skills in recruitment coordination, workplace communications, employee engagement, and HR administration.</p><p>HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Support recruitment and onboarding activities, including posting job opportunities, coordinating interviews, preparing onboarding materials, and assisting with new hire processes.</p><p>Assist with employee engagement and workplace wellness initiatives, including planning activities, preparing communications, and coordinating programs.</p><p>Support HR projects and administrative initiatives related to Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, HR operations, and workplace culture initiatives.</p><p>Assist with maintaining HR documentation, tracking information, and supporting reporting activities related to recruitment and employee engagement initiatives.</p><p>Prepare internal communications, presentations, and employee-facing materials that support HR initiatives and organizational engagement.</p><p>Collaborate with HR team members across multiple functional areas to support operational priorities and ongoing projects.</p><p>Contribute to initiatives that support an inclusive, respectful, and positive workplace environment across the organization.</p><p>WHAT YOU BRING Currently enrolled in or recently completed post-secondary studies in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.</p><p>Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.</p><p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and professionalism.</p><p>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.</p><p>Demonstrated interest in Human Resources, employee engagement, recruitment, workplace culture, or organizational operations.</p><p>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.</p><p>Ability to main- Location Toronto, ON
