Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding. Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings. Prepare and install hardwood floors. Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings. Conduct moisture, ph, temperature and other tests prior to flooring installations. Estimate costs and materials. Prepare floors for installations. Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants. Install materials on counter tops and raised platforms. Install vinyl decking materials. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Apply varnish, veneer, stain or polish to finished products. Installation specialization: Vinyl or resilient tiles. Vinyl or resilient sheets. Hardwood strip flooring. Borders or feature strips. Hardwood intricate patterns flooring. Parquet flooring. Linoleum. Cork flooring. Security and safety: Bondable.
