Job details
Accountable to the Director, Energy Outlooks, the Market Analyst participates in energy system modeling, data collection and manipulation, monitoring of a wide variety of energy system drivers, and communicates analysis in verbal and written formats, largely in support of the CER's Canada Energy Future series and other energy information publications. Duties are normally undertaken in a collaborative team environment with direction and coaching from more experienced staff, and include: • As part of a project working group, support and utilize energy system modeling tools to help develop long-term projections of energy supply and demand in Canada as part of the CER's Canada's Energy Future series of publications.• Gather, manipulate, clean, and analyze data from a wide variety of sources to support modeling activities and energy analysis.• Monitor and research a wide variety of factors, including energy supply, demand and pricing trends, climate and energy policies, and tech- Location Calgary, AB
