Comox Medical Clinic is looking for a Full-time Medical Office Assistant to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a new employee that is interested in working in a team setting and contributing to our patients' healthcare needs. The ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working unsupervised are important parts of the position. It will require the candidate to be able to handle many demands throughout a shift. Empathy, patience and effective communication skills are set at a high standard within our environment. Someone with attention to detail will be an asset. This role requires the physical ability to stock medical supplies, escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for specialized appointments. Reception skills including a busy, multi-line telephone system. Computer knowledge of an EMR or confidence in learning a new software program will be key for this position. Flexibility with your schedule is required in order for our Clinic to offer consistent service. Our Clinic is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. to our patients and will require a candidate to be available to either start or finish their shift at these times. Rotating statutory holidays are shared amongst all staff. We offer excellent benefits, including additional sick days over and above the B.C. Employment Standards.
