Homeland Grain Inc. is a family owned country elevator and feedmill. We offer grain services and marketing, as well as feed services to local livestock customers.&nbsp;We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Grain Elevator/Feedmill Operator to join our team. This role involves the safe and efficient operation of grain handling and feed processing equipment within our country elevator facility. It also involves some maintenance and some manual labour.&nbsp;The ideal candidate will enjoy working outdoors, possess mechanical knowledge with an interest in PLC controlled equipment, and the ability to work in a sometimes fast-paced environment focused on quality and excellent customer service. This position offers an opportunity perform a wide variety of operations which vary seasonally, as part of a small team.&nbsp;Hours are generally 40hrs per week, however overtime is required at summer and fall harvests as needed.&nbsp;Wage rate dependent on experience.&nbsp;&nbsp;ResponsibilitiesReceiving and conditioning grain from the local harvestUnload and load grain and feed trucksOperate grain elevator and feedmill equipment, with a focus on efficient productionMaintain proper sanitation and cleanliness of work areas in compliance with food safety standardsMonitor equipment performance, perform basic troubleshooting, and report any mechanical issues promptlyAssist with quality control checks, ensuring products meet safety and quality standardsAdhere to manufacturing best practices to ensure efficient operations and minimal downtimeOverall maintenance of facility and grounds&nbsp;SkillsGood communication skills and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentBackground and experience in agriculture an assetMechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting an assetBasic math skills for inventory tracking, measurements, and quality checks&nbsp;Benefits:Dental careExtended health careVision care&nbsp;Interesting in joining our Team?
