*Job Overview* We are seeking a part-time seasonal barista to join our team for the summer. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and has a passion for coffee, food, and gelato. The position involves preparing beverages, serving gelato, assisting with light food prep, and providing exceptional customer service. You will work both independently and as part of a small team during busier periods, contributing to a welcoming and efficient café experience. There is also an opportunity to support seasonal menu items and assist with social media content. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the food and beverage industry while working in a friendly, team-oriented environment. *Duties* * Prepare and serve a variety of beverages (espresso, coffee, tea, and specialty drinks) to company standards * Serve gelato and assist customers with selections in a friendly, engaging manner * Assist with light food preparation (e.g., pastries, sandwiches, basic kitchen prep) * Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming café experience * Take customer orders accurately and handle cash/POS transactions * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including counters, equipment, kitchen areas, and seating * Restock ingredients, supplies, and display items as needed * Follow all food safety and hygiene standards * Assist with opening and closing duties (setup, cleaning, cash handling) * Work both independently during quieter periods and collaboratively as part of a team during busy times * Support seasonal menu items and promotions, including optional participation in creating social media content * Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor issues professionally *Skills* * Previous café, barista, or customer service experience is an asset * Proficient in math skills for handling cash transactions accurately * Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods * Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order processing and cash handling * Comfortable working independently and as part of a team If you love great coffee, authentic food, and gelato and think you?d be a great fit for our team, we?d love to welcome you to apply.
