*Overview* Radium North Inc. is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter to join our team in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This role involves working on a range of residential and commercial construction projects, including new builds, renovations, and maintenance work in a fast-paced and safety-driven environment. The ideal candidate is a motivated team player with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. As a Carpenter, you will play a key role in constructing, installing, and repairing structures while ensuring all work meets company standards and applicable building codes. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow their careers with a company that values safety, teamwork, and high-quality results. *Duties* * Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications * Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other construction materials * Construct and install building frameworks including walls, floors, and roofs * Perform finishing carpentry work such as trim, doors, cabinetry, and moldings * Complete renovations, repairs, and general maintenance of existing structures * Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently * Ensure all work is completed according to building codes, safety standards, and company expectations * Work collaboratively with supervisors, crew members, and other trades * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site * Identify construction issues and propose practical solutions * Follow all site safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE * Assist with material handling, loading/unloading, and general site preparation as required *Qualifications* * Previous experience as a Carpenter (residential and/or commercial) * Journeyman Carpenter certification considered an asset * Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings * Valid safety certifications (e.g., CSTS, WHMIS) are an asset * Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions * Strong work ethic with attention to detail and quality * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Reliable transportation (site-dependent) * Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment This position is integral to our construction projects' success and offers opportunities for professional growth within a supportive team environment.
