Western Zone is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant to join the Hospitalist Program at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL. Western Memorial Regional Hospital is a newly constructed, state-of-the-art acute care facility that opened in June 2024. The hospital serves as a 164-bed regional referral centre for Western Newfoundland, delivering a broad range of secondary and select tertiary services to a population of approximately 80,000 residents.Work EnvironmentCorner Brook and the Western region offer an exceptional quality of life. Within minutes of Western Memorial Hospital you have access to a golf course, hiking and biking trails, salmon fishing, and kayaking. In winter, world-class skiing is nearby ? and in about an hour's drive you are on the doorstep of the world-renowned Gros Morne National Park.????????????????????????????????????????QUALIFICATIONSEligible for licensure as a Clinical Assistant with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (www.cpsnl.ca)Must satisfy privileging and credentialing requirements of NL Health Services Western Zone????????????????????????????????????????DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESWork as a member of the Hospitalist team to assist physicians with patient rounds, admissions, and dischargesPerform other duties as required within the scope and qualifications of the Clinical Assistant licenceProvide after-hours, weekend, and statutory holiday on-call coverage as assignedSupport person- and family-centered care; promote patient and worker safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements????????????????????????????????????????REMUNERATIONRemuneration will be in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador.
