*Jacob's Grill / Stone Crock Pub* *Currently Hiring; Line Cook* The successful candidate is responsible for the preparation, plating and packaging of high quality foods for the restaurant. Large batch prep items as well as day to day prep and kitchen cleaning. This person is dedicated to preparing items, displaying exceptional culinary talents and playing a key role in surpassing customer expectations and providing a welcoming work environment in partnership with our team. *Key Accountabilities:* * Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and plating standards * Maintain strong mise en place to support fast and efficient service * Execute dishes quickly and consistently during high-volume service periods * Operate commercial kitchen equipment including grills, flat tops, fryers, ovens, and prep equipment safely and efficiently * Maintain organization and cleanliness of workstations and equipment * Follow prep lists and kitchen procedures to ensure station readiness * Maintain daily cleaning schedules and complete closing duties for assigned stations * Communicate with team members to maintain smooth service flow * Monitor station product levels and report shortages to kitchen leadership * Ensure proper food handling, labeling, and storage procedures * Contribute to a collaborative, team-first culture on every shift * Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations * Other duties as required *What makes you the perfect candidate:* * Minimum 1-2 year experience cooking in a high volume commercial environment * Passionate about cooking and hospitality * Comfortable working multiple stations including grill, sauté, fry * Organized and efficient in fast-paced environments * Strong communicator and dependable teammate * Detail-oriented with pride in quality food preparation * Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays(hours of operation 9am-10pm) *Advantages to being part of the Stonecrock team:* * Competitive wages $18-20 /hour plus gratuities * Training and Development * Growth opportunities * Scratch cooking and expanding culinary techniques * Wide range of in house products among our bakery, butcher/market, and in house production teams * Included staff meals from predetermined options Schedule: * Weekdays/Weekends * Holidays * Daytime and evening hours * Weekend availability is required * Late night availability is required Ability to commute: * 1398 King St N, St. Jacobs, ON N0B 0C1 * Public transportation to St. jacobs is not always available at night No AI used to filter resumes Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour Benefits: * Discounted or free food * On-site parking * Store discount Work Location: In person- Location St. Jacobs, ON
