<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>As a member of Haskins' accounting team, you will be providing support in a wide range of finance, accounting, and human resources functions. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player who is detail oriented and can meet the demands of a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. This position provides room to grow and expand on job responsibilities.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities may include:</strong></p><ul><li>Responsible for the day-to-day management of accounts payable. Including maintaining vendor accounts, processing of supplier invoices and payments.</li><li>Responsible for the day-to-day management of accounts receivable. Including maintaining customer accounts, cash receipts, collections, and some invoicing.</li><li>Collaborate with other departments as needed to resolve any accounts payable or receivable issues.</li><li>Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations - reconciliation of the bank statement against the GL and reconciliation of any assigned clearing accounts.</li><li>Responsible for journal creation for bank account transactions.</li><li>Maintain proper records and documentation.</li><li>Responsible for preparing and filing of HST, QST, and WSIB.</li><li>Provide support to the Comptroller in other accounting functions, including but not limited to month-end and year-end reconciliations, financial reporting, and analysis.</li><li>Participate in special projects as needed.</li><li>Identify and escalate potential issues with recommendations to the Corporate Comptroller.</li><li>Adaptability to changing duties and responsibilities.</li><li>Work with Comptroller on Human Resources functions, including but not limited to onboarding new employees, maintaining employee files / documentation, and benefits administration.</li><li>Vacation, sick and other leave tracking.</li><li>Responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll, including adding and updating employee information in a 3rd party program.</li><li>General office administration duties.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>P</strong>ost-secondary education with a focus on <span class="long-word">business/accounting</span> or 3+ years of relevant work experience</li><li>Organized and very detail oriented</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both oral and written</li><li>Bilingualism (French & English), both oral and written</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook)</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities</li><li>Able to meet strict deadlines</li><li>Ability to work in a team environment</li></ul></div></div>- Location North Bay, ONP1A 0A1
