*Overview* Terroir/The Old Orchard Inn is seeking a friendly and skilled Mixologist/Bartender to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exceptional drinks, delivering outstanding customer service, and maintaining a lively, welcoming atmosphere in a busy, well established restaurant. This role involves preparing a variety of beverages, managing the bar area efficiently, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. Prior experience in food and beverage service, especially in a fine dining restaurant or hotel, is mandatory. *Responsibilities* * Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences * Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and ensure proper food safety and handling procedures are followed * Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, answer questions about drinks, and create a welcoming atmosphere * Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glassware and utensils, and adhering to food safety standards * Handle cash transactions accurately and balance cash register at the end of shifts * Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations related to food handling and alcohol service * Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy hours * Assist in setting up the bar before opening shifts and closing procedures afterward *Skills* * Proven experience in food service or hospitality environments, especially as a bartender or mixologist * Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha/Skytab for order entry and cashiering * Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously * Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours * Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and measuring ingredients accurately * Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures * Ability to serve alcohol responsibly following all legal regulations * Experience with food industry operations is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential * Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members This role offers an engaging environment where creativity in drink-making meets exceptional customer service.
