The successful candidate will help ensure provincial park facilities, infrastructure and outdoor spaces remain clean, safe and well maintained for visitors. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic outdoor environment while supporting the operation and upkeep of campgrounds, trails, day-use areas, beaches, boat launches, washrooms and other park amenities. We are seeking a reliable, accountable and adaptable individual who demonstrates a commitment to public service excellence, works collaboratively with others, values inclusion and diversity, and continuously seeks opportunities for improvement. The ideal candidate is able to work independently and as part of a team, manage changing priorities, respond professionally to visitors, and contribute to a safe and positive park experience. The position requires knowledge of basic cleaning, janitorial and sanitation practices; safe operation, maintenance and minor repair of equipment and buildings; and WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety regulations. Candidates must be able to perform general park and building maintenance activities such as grass cutting, painting, shovelling and cleaning using appropriate tools and equipment. Experience operating light to medium equipment, including light trucks, riding mowers, skid steers, power tools and related equipment, is required. The ability to safely lift, carry and move supplies and equipment, identify and address workplace hazards, and communicate clearly with staff, stakeholders and the public is essential.
