Our Marine staff help to further connect and expand Nova Scotia's transportation network; all the while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Ferries. The Captain supervises the crew in loading and off loading freight, performing routine maintenance, and cleaning of the ferry and equipment. The ferry is in 24 hour operation, 365 days per year.</span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Qualifications and Experience</b></H2></div><div><p> </p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">High school completion or an acceptable equivalent combination of knowledge and experience plus a valid Transport Canada Master Certificate, Limited for a vessel of 60 gross tonnage or more.
