Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Dusty. Outdoors. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Renovation. Level of expertise: Maintenance and repair. Tasks: Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Carpenter Trade Certification. Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Personal suitability: Accurate.
