Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Instruct apprentices. Supervise other workers. Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints. Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster. Clean and prepare surfaces. Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners. Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife. Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets. Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency. Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry. Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound. Supervision: 3-4 people. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Repetitive tasks. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years. Employment terms options: Day. Weekend.- Location 10335 61 Avenue NWEdmonton, ABT6H 1K9
