This position requires three days in-office.</span></p><p><em><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif;">Salary: 86,000-120,000 CAD /year (based on experience)</span></em></p><p style="line-height: normal;"><strong><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif;">Who You Are</span></strong></p><p style="line-height: normal;"><em><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif;">An <strong>EIT or P.Eng</strong> with a <strong>Bachelor of Science</strong> in <strong>Mechanical Engineering </strong>and a minimum of 4 years' experience; 3 of which must be acceptable and verifiable for the Engineering Board of your province.</span></em></p><p style="line-height: normal;"><em><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif;">Relationship-focused: </span></em><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif;">Experience developing long-lasting relationships with clients to assist them in solving complex engineering challenges. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team while applying engineering skills from analysis and design through to construction. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work directly with our senior leaders and will perform meaningful work that focuses on providing practical solutions to complex problems affecting energy, water, and the environment. The successful candidate will also possess strong oral and written communication skills, must be self-motivated and growth oriented.</span></p><p style="line-height: normal;"><em><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif;">Knowledgeable:</span></em><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif;"> The successful candidate will have experience with machine design preferably facility design in oil systems, water pumping systems, piping, or other hydraulic/ pneumatic machinery. Must have experience working in an integrated design environment and 3-D modeling (Revit, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.). Hydroelectric design, consulting experience, or construction support while beneficial is not necessary. Candidates with FEA and or CFD experience will be preferred. </span></p><p style="line-height: normal;"><strong><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif;">Additional Requirements</span></strong></p><ul><li style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif;">Must possess permanent authorization to work in Canada.</span></li><li style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif;">Must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license.</span></li></ul><p style="line-height: normal;"><strong><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif;">About the Position </span></strong></p><p style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif;">This position involves a combination of mechanical design tasks, typically dealing with unique design issues for fish passage projects, hydroelectric turbines, gates, trash rakes, hydroelectric balance of plant retrofits and rehabilitation efforts at existing hydroelectric projects as well as the design of new power stations with a future in customer-facing consulting work.</span></p><p><strong><s- Location Halifax, NS
