Tasks: Command and operate ships or vessels to transport passengers and cargo. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of deck crews. Ensure safety and comfort of passengers. Control, steer and navigate a vessel in various waterways. Enforce regulations in Canadian waters. Record vessel's progress, weather and sea conditions in ship's log. Marine Emergency Duty (MED) Training Program. Field work location experience: Offshore or at sea. Vessel experience: Tank vessel.
