*Job Summary* Fairbrothers Formwork Ltd. is looking for a skilled Formwork Carpenter to join our team in Vancouver, BC. If you're passionate about precision and have a solid background in construction, specifically with concrete formwork, we want to hear from you. *Duties* * *Form Construction & Stripping:* Build, erect, align, and strip wood and engineered formwork systems for concrete walls, slabs, stairs, and columns. * *Reading and Interpreting Blueprints:* Accurately read and interpret architectural and structural drawings to transfer design specifications to the job site. * *Collaborating with the Team:* Work closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, Site Superintendent, and on-site crew to address issues and ensure seamless project execution. * *Material Preparation:* Measure, cut, and shape lumber and forming materials precisely using power and hand tools. * *Quality Control:* Conduct regular checks to verify that all forms are perfectly plumb, level, and secure prior to concrete pours, maintaining our high standards of quality. * *Safety and Compliance:* Adhere strictly to all WorkSafeBC safety regulations and company procedures while performing tasks, particularly regarding fall protection and hazard awareness. *Experience* * *Relevant Experience:* At least 3 to 5 years of construction experience, ideally with concrete formwork. * *Technical Skills:* High proficiency with carpentry power tools and hand tools. * *Construction Knowledge:* Strong understanding of construction principles and the ability to interpret technical drawings. * *Problem-Solving:* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * *Communication:* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. * *Certifications:* Red Seal Carpentry certification is a strong asset, though uncertified carpenters with extensive concrete forming experience are highly encouraged to apply. Valid Fall Protection and WHMIS certifications are required. This position is ideal for individuals committed to craftsmanship and safety in the construction industry. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour Work Location: In person- Location Richmond, BC
